We have been learning to…

Last week in maths, the children have been learning how to spot number patterns to fill in the missing numbers in a sequence. There is a link to a BBC Bitesize game below, that the children may like playing at home.  There is also a link to a youtube video that the children enjoyed watching during their maths lesson to help them learn their 8 times table.

We have been continuing our research on the Romans. In literacy, we wrote a speech as Julius Caesar, persuading his fellow Romans to invade Britain. This helped the children understand why the Romans decided to conquer Britain.

The children also read information to help develop their knowledge about how the Romans lived. Some aspects we have looked at are Roman clothes, soldiers and entertainment.  This was definitely helpful for their understanding during yesterday’s trip to the Museum of London.
