Last week our topic in maths was measuring. First we used m, cm and mm to measure objects around the classroom and our feet. Then we looked at weighing objects in the classroom using g and kg. This was challenging as we had to get used to reading scales and not getting mixed up with the lb!
We put our measuring skills to work by making cup cakes. We had to measure out the ingredients and follow the instructions. They turned out well and we all enjoyed eating them!
This week we have moved onto fractions.
In literacy we’ve been finishing off our reports about dragons. There’s been some wonderful, imaginative ideas about the caterpillar dragon, the Sally dragon and many more. This week we will be writing up our reports to be presented in a class book.
